I'm Lucy Kienitz Spence. Growing up surrounded by artists, I held a lifelong passion for experimenting in my art making practice. After establishing a career in literacy education, I delved into formal drawing and painting classes. I work in both oil and watercolor, drawing on expressionism and abstraction. My impressionistic work explores memory and nature. Through abstraction, I seek to disrupt the boundaries of time and space, old and new, past and present.
