I am a fourth grade instructor in the Sogetsu school of Ikebana. Sogetsu encourages the use of plant and non-plant materials to create avant guard arrangements and structures.

Line, Color and Mass

Japanese aesthetic principles are vastly different than western aesthetics. The practice of ikebana greatly influences the creation of my art, not only in ikebana but in all aspects of my painting.
